18kt means 18 karat or 18 carat. Historically the pureness of gold is specified in karat. 24 karat is pure gold (fine gold). By introducing the metrical system this measurement changed into the “Thousand”, which means for example the stamp „750“ in gold goods stands for 750 of 1000 parts (3/4) pure gold.
CHROX uses the following gold qualities: 18kt gold (reddish gold tone - similar to the color of 24kt gold) is a gold alloy of fine gold (750 parts) + silver + copper 18kt white gold is a gold alloy of fine gold (750 parts) + palladium (nickel free)
